Geese Riddles
This morning I heard geese call;
must be they’re down the pond.
I couldn’t tell at first
it wasn’t lambs calling ewes.
Last time I heard geese was fall
and couldn’t tell it wasn’t hounds.
I don’t know how to say
what I can’t tell them from
when they’re away.
